We have put our new production establishment into operation in Haarlem, on the 9th January. The official opening ceremony was conducted by Jan Kamminga, chairman and managing director of the Dutch association for Metal and Elektro, FME-CWM. We have for some time been confronted with a lack of space due to the development of increasingly larger machines and the constantly growing order portfolio. The new production facility has doubled our production area, creating space for the completion of larger, customer-specific projects in addition to the building of standard machines. The new building also creates the space needed to expand other disciplines, such as engineering, R&D and production management. Last year we where presented with the Dutch Techni-Show Innovation Award for the development of the five-axis ultra-precision milling machine Nano-Focus. The commissioning of the new building has created more space for the building of these new milling machines. We currently employs some 70 people and are exporting our machinery all over the world.
