The Mikroturn 100 XLD, (XLD stands for extra large diameter) is a modified version of the Mikroturn 100. The Mikroturn 100 XLD has a turning diameter of up to Ø 610 mm instead of Ø 380 mm for the standard Mikroturn 100. Despite a small machine floor surface of only 6m², the 100 XLD is capable of producing large and heavy workpieces.
To get the larger turning diameter, the fixed head of the standard Mikroturn 100 was raised and the X-axis now has a longer stroke of 340mm. The machine is equipped as standard with a 2000 rpm main spindle with an integrated torque motor. This ensures a strong and stable driving mechanism also for large and heavy workpieces. The Mikroturn 100 XLD has all the typical Hembrug Mikroturn machine features: a granite bed with an integrated damping system, a wear-free hydrostatic bearing main spindle with a running accuracy of ≤ 0.2 μm and wear-free hydrostatic bearing guides.
With the arrival of the Mikroturn 100 XLD, the Mikroturn 100 is now available in various versions. A standard version for small to medium workpieces, an XLS version suitable for longer workpieces such as drive shafts up to 800 mm, and the new XLD for workpieces with larger diameters – up to Ø 610 mm. If required, Hembrug can supply these ultra precision hard turning machines with optional automation and/or integrated grinding possibilities.

De Mikroturn 100 XLD, waar de XLD staat voor extra large diameter, is een aangepaste versie van de Mikroturn 100. De Mikroturn 100 XLD heeft een draaibereik tot Ø 610 mm in plaats van de Ø 380 mm bij de standaard Mikroturn 100. Ondanks een klein machine vloeroppervlak is de 100 XLD in staat grote en zware werkstukken te maken.
Om het grote draaibereik te krijgen is de vaste kop van de standaard Mikroturn 100 verhoogd en heeft de x-as een langere slag van 340 mm. De hoofspil is standaard uitgerust met een 2.000 rpm hoofdspil met geïntegreerde torquemotor. Deze zorgt voor een sterke en stabiele aandrijving, ook bij grote zware werkstukken. De Mikroturn 100 XLD heeft alle typische Hembrug Mikroturn machine kenmerken: een granietenbed met een geïntegreerd dempingssysteem, een slijtagevrije hydrostatisch gelagerde hoofdspil meteen rondloopnauwkeurigheid van ≤ 0.2 µm en slijtagevrije hydrostatische gelagerde geleidingen.
Met de komst van de Mikroturn 100 XLD is de Mikroturn 100 inmiddels verkrijgbaar in verschillende versies. Een standaard versie voor kleine tot middelgrote werkstukken, een XLS versie geschikt voor lange werkstukken zoals aandrijfassen tot 800 mm. En dan de nieuwe XLD voor werkstukken met grotere diameters tot Ø 610 mm. Hembrug levert deze gewenst ultraprecisie harddraaimachines optioneel met automatisering en/of geïntegreerde slijpmogelijkheden.
