Gear pump

This gear pump was machined on a Mikroturn® 100 between centers. The goal was to replace a multi-step machining process by a single step operation, finish hard turning. With hard turning the OD’s and gear faces can be (finish) machined in one set-up, while maintaining the required accuracies. Now only one machine performs all the operations.
